Jen (Manager / Cosmetologist)
Jen is a dedicated and passionate hairstylist with 14 years of experience under her belt! As the manager of the Boise shop, her dedication to creating a positive atmosphere not only for her team but also for her clients speaks volumes about her leadership skills and passion for her craft. Her expertise in delivering perfect cuts, especially her favorite scissor cuts and tapered necklines, surely sets a high standard at the barbershop. Outside of work, Jen leads a busy and fulfilling life with her husband Tony and their 4 teenagers. Being outdoors and supporting them in Rugby and Softball keeps weekends crazy and enjoyable. Her love for summer and being active fits perfectly with her vibrant personality. With Jen at the helm, Bolder Barbershop is surely a place where clients not only get great haircuts but also feel welcomed and valued.
Sam (Barber / Cosmetologist)
Sam has 15 years of experience as a cosmetologist and barber, specializing in men's short to medium haircuts, bald fades, grey blending, waxing, beard detailing, hair designs, and sharp line work. Outside the shop, she's a dedicated mom of two girls who enjoys adventures, cars, music, travel, animals, and food. Sam focuses on providing a great experience and making sure every client leaves looking sharp and feeling confident.
Colby (Barber)
Graduating from Aveda Barber College in Boise, Bolder Barbershop provides a unique atmosphere and vibe where Colby can showcase his expertise in popular and stylish haircuts. Want a good Taper Fade? Colby’s your barber! His attention to detail and ability to create precise and polished looks keeps his clients returning to his chair. Having lived in various places like California, Vegas, and now Idaho, he enjoys traveling to different cities around the country. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and of course a good summertime BBQ. His love for sports (he’s a huge basketball fan), music, and sneakers makes for easy conversation while getting your haircut.
Eric (Barber)
Eric received his barbering license in 2023 from Boise Barber College. He enjoys the vibe at Bolder Barbershop with its good clean atmosphere, fun music and a team of great barbers by his side! Eric’s favorite cut is a slick back pompadour, where he can showcase his timeless style with a touch of sophistication.
Jay (Barber)
After moving from California in 2004, Jay has had extensive experience in barbering, spanning over 15 years. Wanting to expand his craft, he received his professional certification from Paul Mitchell Barber College in 2002. There’s not a single haircut that Jay can’t master!
In his spare time, he stays active and connected with his roots in basketball by coaching his kids whenever he can. Jay’s blend of professional expertise, love for the outdoors, and family involvement shapes his personal and professional values.
Trey (Barber)
Trey is a proud Idaho native, having lived in the state for 25 years. He earned his barbering license from Boise Barber College in 2018 and has been cutting hair for three years. Trey is passionate about growing his skills and continually perfecting his craft. Outside of barbering, he enjoys working on anything "tech related" and is an avid gamer. Trey also has a deep love for the outdoors, making the most of Idaho's natural beauty.
Three years ago, he married his wife, who has been his greatest inspiration. She motivates him to strive for personal growth and helps him become the person he aspires to be.
Leslie (Lead Receptionist)
Leslie has been the perfect “stay at home mom and wife” for the past two years, but recently decided to rejoin the workforce. She’s a mom of five children; 4 boys and a girl. As their biggest supporter and cheerleader, she spends most days attending their sports and other extracurricular activities.
When she finds the time, she loves traveling to the Oregon Coast, or McCall. Their family enjoys camping and swimming as well as occasional “dance parties” with the kids!
Graham (Receptionist)
Graham is a Junior in high school with a well-rounded personality, who finds joy in the company of family and friends. Born in Utah and raised in Idaho, he benefits from the abundant opportunities the state offers for outdoor activities. Embracing a diverse range of seasonal sports, Graham engages in skiing during the winter and enjoys biking, skating, and golfing in the summer. With a fun-loving personality and ambitious spirit, it will be a pleasure to witness Graham's growth, not only in high school but at Bolder Barbershop!
